- NW1, SPORTS BAR & GRILL (Stonegate), Melcombe Place, NW1 6JJ. No longer Cask Marque accredited.
- SW1, GRENADIER (Grosvenor Estate/Greene King/Ineos 123 Ltd), 18 Wilton Row, SW1X 7NR. CLOSED for kitchen refurb. Reopening expected 29 Jan 2024.
- SW1, WETHERSPOONS (Network Rail/Wetherspoon/Wetherspoon), Unit 5, Upper Concourse, Victoria Station, Terminus Place, SW1V 1JT. CLOSED for expansion into neighbouring premises and refurbishment.
- SW3, QUEENS HEAD, 25-27 Tryon Street, SW3 3LG. Closed for seven years, this 3,600sq ft, two-storey 1840-build pub site finally reopened in December 2023, the second to open under the Tom Kerridge BUTCHER’S TAP & GRILL concept. This is his third London site and follows Kerridge's Bar & Grill at the Corinthia hotel in Whitehall, and Kerridge's Fish & Chips at Harrods' dining hall. Following very substantial refurb work, the ground-floor pub features a focal hardwood bar, chestnut leather booth seating and a bespoke timber staircase. The restaurant area is downstairs with an open plan kitchen equipped with meat-ageing fridges. The menu at Butcher's Tap & Grill Chelsea offers a selection of British-centric butcher-cuts, burgers, hot dogs and small bites, such as grass-fed beef rom HG Walter and Dovecote Farm and Longland Farm duck. The pub is open for lunch and dinner and serves a Sunday roast; as well as takeaway services. Kids eat free Monday - Thursday 3-5pm. Kerridge has said: "We very much want to be a local's local, somewhere to pop in, have a pint, watch some sport have a bite and relax. We will also be dog friendly so well behaved four legged friends are very welcome too!" There are three ale handpumps serving fairly low-ABV session beers including Rebellion IPA.
- SW6, BROADWAY BAR & GRILL (Stonegate), 474-476 Fulham Road, SW6 1BY. Reopened.
- SW6, KING'S HOUSE (Wellington/City Pub Company), 541 Kings Road, SW6 2EB. Closed, now a hireable events venue.

- W12, DEFECTOR'S WELD (Young's), 170 Uxbridge Road, W12 8AA. Reopened following lengthy refurbishment.
- W12, POCKET WATCH (Brakspear), 434 Uxbridge Road, W12 0NS. Real Ale no longer available.
- W14, HAVELOCK TAVERN (Greene King/Metropolitan), 57 Masbro Road, W14 0LS. Reported the real ale discount scheme no longer honoured.
- WC2, BAR & CO, The Wilfred, Unit1, Temple Pier, WC2R 2PN. Event venue on a boat. Sunk!
- WC2, OCHE , 105 Strand, WC2R 0AA. This venue is on the site of a demolished Smollensky's restaurant, The substantial rebuild included retail units at ground-floor level, one of which is Oche, which combines tech-enhanced darts with gastro food and is one of the growing number of socialising "experience venues" in London. The general ambience is high-tech plus neon lighting. Operator The Social Gaming Group is owned by Norwegian tech investor Karbon Invest. The food menu is of the "crossover tapas" variety plus sharing plates, and at the bar some keg beers and lagers are on offer. It is perfectly possible just to pop in for a drink without needing to book a playing area. See venue website for offers. Note restricted opening hours.
- M&B/Nicholson's chain has withdrawn from Cask Marque scheme. - The branch Pub of the Year voting was just about to close at time of writing (on 29th February). All branch members were emailed with the details. The finalists were the Antelope (Eaton Terrace, SW1), Bear (Spring Street, W2), Cask Pub & Kitchen (Charlwood Street, SW1), Jackalope (Weymouth Mews, W1), Star Tavern (Belgrave Mews West, SW1), and Victoria (Strathearn Place, W2). The winner will be announced soon!

- The Union Tavern, Westbourne Park is due to temporarily close for refurbishment from 3rd March until 25th March.
- The Hero of Maida is planned to be reopened this spring by the Public House Group.
- The Brass Monkey, Vauxhall Bridge Road has been reported to be no longer selling real ale.
- The Bolton, Earls Court Road which is currently closed has been occupied by squatters.

- City Pub Group has been acquired by Young's. They operate a number of pubs in our branch area - Aragon House (SW6), Bow Street Tavern (WC2), Cock & Bottle (W11), Daly's Wine Bar (WC2), King's House (SW6), Nell Gwynne (WC2), Phene (SW3), Pride of Paddington (W2), Temple Brew House (WC2), and Walker's of Whitehall (SW1).
- NW1, CHAPEL, 48 Chapel Street, NW1 5DP. Closed, awaiting demolition & rebuild.
- NW1, WINDSOR CASTLE, 98 Park Road, NW1 4SH. Closed, future uncertain.
- NW8, JOHNNY GREEN , 87 Allitsen Road, NW8 7AS. Part of the Daisy Green chain of casual eateries. Thus mainly for casual eating (breakfast & lunches) but some keg beers are available plus some bar stools. The site is home to the development Chef and the test kitchen for the whole Daisy Green Collection.
- SW1, 23 GROSVENOR GARDENS (Belgravia Mansions Estates), 23 Grosvenor Gardens, SW1W 0BP. Closed as part of the 8 Eaton Lane development.
- SW1, BRASS MONKEY (Stonegate), 250 Vauxhall Bridge Road, SW1V 1AU.. As of early 2024 it was reported that this venue no longer sells cask ale.
- SW1, BROWNS BAR & BRASSERIE (M&B), 2 Cardinal Walk, SW1E 5AG. Self-reported closed for extensive refurb, reopening early 2025.
- SW1, FEATHERS (M&B/Nicholson's), 18-20 Broadway, SW1H 0BH. No longer Cask Marque accredited.
- SW1, GRENADIER, 18 Wilton Row, SW1X 7NR. Reopened. Now operated by Ineos 123.
- SW1, PALM HOUSE ), 150 Victoria Street, SW1E 5LB. At the south-east corner of the huge Nova development, this is one of the large number of bar/eateries competing with each other here. Various food menus are available including a pre-theatre menu, all veering towards tex-mex, and the drinks list includes some keg beers. There is an upstairs bar as well as the ground floor. According to operator Incipio, the venue "revives the vibrant spirit of Miami's iconic 1930s Clubhouse scene".
- SW1, RED LION (Fuller's), 48 Parliament Street, SW1A 2NH. Was closed for refurb, expected reopening 13 March 2024 - presumably now reopen.
- SW1, ST GEORGE'S TAVERN (M&B/Nicholson's), 14 Belgrave Road, SW1V 1QD. Cask Marque re-accredited.
- SW1, STOKE HOUSE , 81 Buckingham Palace Road, SW1W 0AJ. This is one of the many modern bar / restaurants in and around Sir Simon Milton Square in the Nova development. The venue is mainly a steak house, but the extensive menu includes many other dishes including sandwiches, bar food, Sunday roasts, and a pre-theatre offering. The inside tables are mostly laid up for those dining, but there is some general seating plus a few bar stools. The drinks list includes a few keg draught beers.
- SW1, WHITE HORSE & BOWER (Shepherd Neame), 86 Horseferry Road, SW1P 2EE. Closed for major refurb, reopening autumn 2024.
- SW3, CHELSEA PIG, Old Church Street. Announced in March that it is closed until further notice.
- SW6, CHELSEA LODGE (Stonegate), 562 Kings Road, SW6 2DZ. Reopened as BOHA LONDON. The Shibeen is a 1920’s-inspired downstairs "speakeasy and cocktail" bar reported to have some keg beer fonts.
- SW6, CRE BAR, Imperial Wharf, Imperial Road, SW6 2GA. The coffee lounge and bar at this Doubletree by Hilton Hotel (Cre is Irish for earth, see venue website!). The bar/lounge is to the right of the ground-floor hotel entrance and stretches around the corner. All-day snacks and drinks are available and there are some keg beers at the bar.
- SW7, ASHBURN SW7 (Holiday Inn), 97 Cromwell Road, SW7 4DN. Renamed CROMWELL TAVERN.
- SW10, CHELSEA FUNHOUSE (AT WORLD'S END DISTILLERY) (Wellington), 459 Kings Road, SW10 0LR. Closed, premises owner seeking new tenant/lease holder.
- WC2, GARRICK CLUB, 15 Garrick Street, WC2E 9AY. Real ale is reportedly on offer in the bar.
- WC2, NELL OF OLD DRURY (Stonegate), 29 Catherine Street, WC2B 5JS. No longer offers a CAMRA discount.
- WC2, WHITE LION (M&B/Nicholson's), 24 James Street, WC2E 8NT. Was closed for refurbishment, now reopened.

Some draught keg beers are available. The lower floor is for exhibitions, music, performances and private parties.
- W2, BRIDGE HOUSE (M&B/Castle), 13 Westbourne Terrace Road, W2 6NG. Closed for refurb, expected reopening 28 Mar 2024.
- W2, CLEVELAND ARMS (Market Taverns), 28 Chilworth Street, W2 6DT. As at early 2024 it was reported that there were cellarage problems with cask ale dispense and that this would take some time to sort out.
- W2, VICTORIA (Fuller's), 10A Strathearn Place, W2 2NH. Had been closed in early March for minor works, has now reopened.
- W6, NOVOTEL LONDON WEST HOTEL (Accor Hotels), 1 Shortlands, W6 8DR. Non-residents may use the bar.
- W6, SOUTHERN BELLE, 175-177 Fulham Palace Road, W6 8QT. Planning app 2023/00574/FUL Change of use from a public house (Class Sui Generis) to a retail unit (Class E) at ground and basement floor levels was APPROVED by the Council 31 May 2023.

Pub and brewery news
- The White Horse, Parsons Green is having its Old Ale Festival on 16th to 19th November. It's the 40th year of this beer festival! For more information see https://the-white-horse-parsons-green-events.designmynight.com/64f0a31cf221b12f3858f433/40th-old-ale-beer-festival.
- The Defectors Weld, Shepherds Bush is due to reopen on 30th November after a refurbishment.
- The Devonshire, Denman St, Soho (former Devonshire Arms) reopened on 3rd November as a pub with a restaurant upstairs. It became a Jamie's Italian restaurant a few years ago and then a Coqbull chicken and burger restaurant. We're glad to see it's now a pub once again with real ale available.
- The Walmer Castle, Notting Hill has reopened.
- Planning permission for change of use of the Neeld Arms, Harrow Road was refused by Westminster Council. However it is still closed as a pub and has been in use as a food shop without permission.
- The Tom Cribb, Panton Street has reopened after a refurbishment.
- The former KPH (Kensington Park Hotel) has reopened as Knight of Notting Hill. It's the second free house pub from Zora Singh, who also opened Three Falcons in St John's Wood. At time of writing, it doesn't appear to serve real ale.

- NW1, PERSEVERANCE (Morgana Ltd (IOM)), 11 Shroton Street, NW1 6UG. Reopened in late August mainly a cocktail bar but also sells some keg beers. The old central bar has now become a semi-circular bar on the edge of room. It is understood that food will be available shortly.
- SW1, BAY & BRACKET (Benesco Charity Ltd/Stonegate), 17-19 Artillery Row, SW1P 1RH. No longer Cask Marque accredited.
- SW1, CHELSEA PENSIONER (Wellington), 358 Fulham Road, SW10 9UU. Renamed CHELSEA GATE. Keg beers, no real ale.
- SW1, GRENADIER (Grosvenor Estate/Greene King), 18 Wilton Row, SW1X 7NR. In 2023 the operator became Ineos 123, a company manufacturing the Grenadier Ineos car marque; it is sub-leasing from Greene King.
- SW7, EASTSIDE RESTAURANT & BAR (Imperial College), Ground Floor, Eastside House, Prince's Gardens, SW7 1AZ. Handpump removed during COVID.
- W1, BURGER & LOBSTER, 29 Clarges Street, W1J 7EQ. Handpump removed.
