• London Pubs Group continues its tours of historic pubs - for information see https://londonpubsgroup.camra.org.uk/events. Upcoming events: 15 June 2024 - Daytime tour of Rotherhithe and Bermondsey.
• The June/July issue of London Drinker is now available in pubs across London and online at https://londondrinker.camra.org.uk/wordpress/ with details of CAMRA and beer related events across London, pub and brewery news, and more.

 Pub and brewery news

• SW1, ALCHEMIST, Unit A, Terminal House, 52 Grosvenor Gardens, SW1W 0AU. Bang opposite the Victoria station complex, and part of the expanding Alchemist chain of cocktail bar/restaurants. The company is reported to have invested £1.8m fitting out the 4,858 square-foot venue.

• SW1, GROSVENOR ARMS (Guoman Hotels), Clermont Hotel, 101 Buckingham Palace Road, SW1W 0SJ. Renamed SOAK. A couple of keg beers and various bottled beers are available.

• SW1, M BAR VICTORIA ST (Land Securities), Unit 3, Zig Zag Building, 70 Victoria Street, SW1E 6SQ. Became BAM Karaoke Box in mid-April 2024.

• SW1, MILLBANK LOUNGE (Hilton), Westminster Hotel, 30 John Islip Street, SW1P 4DD. Renamed WESTMINSTER BAR & GRILL.

• SW1, NO 11 PIMLICO ROAD (Darwin & Wallace), 11 Pimlico Road, SW1W 8NA. To become EBURY TOWN HOUSE.

• SW1, RED LION (Fuller's), 48 Parliament Street, SW1A 2NH. Reopened following refurb.

• SW1, WETHERSPOONS (Network Rail/Wetherspoon), Unit 5, Upper Concourse, Victoria Station, Terminus Place, SW1V 1JT. Reopened following a £1.3 million refurb when it expanded into neighbouring premises to provide more seating.

• SW3, CHELSEA PIG, 35 Old Church Street, SW3 5BS. After a period as the Chelsea Pig followed by a brief closure, this venue reopened in May 2024 under one of its old names, The PIG'S EAR. It's operated by the Gladwin brothers who are also behind restaurants like Rabbit in Chelsea and Sussex in Soho.

• SW6, BROADWAY BAR & GRILL (Stonegate), 474-476 Fulham Road, SW6 1BY. Reported closed and shuttered early May 2024.

• SW6, REDBACK (RedCat Leased Pubs Ltd), 490 Fulham Road, SW6 5NH. Redcat Leased Pubs went into administration in late March 2024 - this site is reported closed and boarded up.

• SW6, RYLSTON (Redcat Retail), 197 Lillie Road, SW6 7LW. Renamed ELEPHANT & BARREL No longer sells real ale.

• SW6, WHITE HORSE (M&B/Castle), 1-3 Parsons Green, SW6 4UL. ACV expired.

• SW7, CROMWELL TAVERN (Holiday Inn), 97 Cromwell Road, SW7 4DN. Closed with building hoardings around the entire block and no public access to site.

• WC2, MR. WHITE'S (Soho Estates), 20-21 Leicester Square, WC2H 7LE. Self-reported closed.

• WC2, NELL OF OLD DRURY (Shaftesbury/Stonegate), 29 Catherine Street, WC2B 5JS. Sign on the bar advertising 10% discount for CAMRA members.

• WC2, WHITE LION (M&B/Nicholson's), 24 James Street, WC2E 8NT. Reopened following refurb.

• W1, BE AT ONE (Stonegate) Lansdowne House, 59 Berkeley Square, W1J 6ER. Closed. Planning granted under 20/04428/FULL to demolish Lansdowne House containing Be at One.

• W1, BLUE POSTS (Shaftesbury), 28 Rupert Street, W1D 6DJ. No longer sells real ale.

• W1, BOISDALE, 12 North Row, W1K 7DF. Closed Feb 2023. Now Basta Qatari restaurant.

• W1, COACH & HORSES (Fuller Smith & Turner/Fuller Smith & Turner/Fuller's), 29 Greek Street, W1D 5DH. ACV expired.

• W1, DUKE OF YORK (Shaftesbury), 47 Rathbone Street, W1T 1NW. It was reported in mid-April 2024 that the pub freehold had been bought by McMullen's.

• W1, FAM, 31 Duke Street, W1U 1LG. On the corner of Duke Street and Picton Place, and is run by the same operator as Burlock rum bar round the corner and downstairs. FAM is a small cocktail bar at street level but also serves a couple of keg beers and Guinness, on draught.

• W1, GOAT TAVERN (Greene King), 3 Stafford Street, W1S 4RP. Real Ale reinstated. Greene King IPA and house bitter and a guest such as Timothy Taylor Landlord.

• W1, GREEN MAN (M&B/Oak Tree), 57 Berwick Street, W1F 8SR. Now Nicholson branded.

• W1, HARCOURT (Harcourt Pubs), 32 Harcourt Street, W1H 4HX. Closed along with other pubs under the same ownership.

• W1, SHAMPERS (Shaftesbury), 4 Kingly Street, W1B 5PE. Renamed DISREPUTE, a cocktail bar.

• W1, SIMMONS BOND STREET), 11 Woodstock Street, W1C 2AE. Closed early 2024. Lease on the market.

• W1, SIX STOREYS (Amsprop Ltd), 11 Soho Square, W1D 3QE. Google reports closed.

• W2, BRIDGE HOUSE (M&B/Castle), 13 Westbourne Terrace Road, W2 6NG. Reopened following refurb.

• W2, ROYAL EXCHANGE, 26 Sale Place, W2 1PU. Real Ale reinstated Sharp's Doom Bar and a guest.

• W2, VICTORIA (Church Commissioners/Fuller's), 10A Strathearn Place, W2 2NH. Reopened following refurb.

• W8, PIANO BAR & RESTAURANT (The Piano Group), 106 Kensington High Street, W8 4SG. Closed future uncertain following Piano Group moving its Kensington operation to the Royal Garden Hotel

• W9, ANGIES FREEHOUSE II, 33-35 Woodfield Place, W9 2BJ. Real Ale found! Wainwright Amber.

• W9, HERO OF MAIDA, 55 Shirland Road, W9 2JD. Following a period of closure, this site was taken over by The Public House Group and reopened in May 2024, as the HERO.

• W9, UNION TAVERN (Fuller's), 45 Woodfield Road, W9 2BA. Reopened following refurb.

• W11, E & O (Kott Ltd (Bahamas)/Asean Ltd/Ricker Restaurants), 14 Blenheim Crescent, W11 1NN. Stated on Tripadvisor as Closed.

• W11, PORTOBELLO STAR (Portobello Star Ltd/Santi & Santi Ltd/Marylebone Leisure), 171 Portobello Road, W11 2DY. Reopened.

• W12, GREEN (Stonegate), 172-174 Uxbridge Road, W12 7JP. Reopened under Craft Union format.

• W14, COLTON ARMS (RedCat Leased Ltd), 187 Greyhound Road, W14 9SD. Closed following the move of Redcat Retail Ltd into administration in late March 2024.

• W14, OLD OAK (Redcat), 180 North End Road, W14 9NX. Reported closed and boarded-up, April 2024.
