 Pub and brewery news
  • Pubs began to reopen on 12 April, initially in outside areas only, and with table service only. This means that those pubs without an outdoor area will not be able to open for the time being. No earlier than 17 May it is planned for pubs to be able to open indoors as well. Before making a visit, it would be wise to check pub websites or their social media accounts before visiting to confirm whether they are open and for details of restrictions eg any booking requirements. Due to the changing situation, details in WhatPub may not always be up-to-date.
  • The rebuilt Carlton Tavern reopened on 12 April! The story about the pub reopening after it was illegally demolished six years ago has been recently covered in various newspapers (eg the Observer and Morning Advertiser) and websites.
  • Portobello Brewery is offering a home delivery service with a variety of their beers available. For full details see their Facebook page. They are offering free delivery within the M25.
  • CAMRA has launched a website and mobile phone app Brew to You to help you order beer for delivery from pubs and breweries.
  • CAMRA's Pulling Together website has details of other breweries offering delivery services.
