Here's an update on the latest news and information from West London branch of CAMRA for April 2019. Further news can be found in the April/May edition of London Drinker.
Branch events
- April
- The April branch meeting is on Tuesday 16th April at the Bolton, 326 Earls Court Road, SW5 9BQ. We will meet from 7pm for a 7.30pm start to the meeting. The meeting will be in the upstairs room.
- May
- The West London CAMRA annual general meeting (AGM) will be on Tuesday 28th May at the Defector's Weld, 170 Uxbridge Road, Shepherds Bush, W12 8AA. We'll be having the meeting in the upstairs room.
Other CAMRA events
- CAMRA's London Pubs Group will be having their next crawl of historic pubs on Wednesday 24th April in south west London. See the London Pubs Group website for details.

- The April/May issue of London Drinker is out in pubs across London and online with all the latest news about pubs, CAMRA and beer related events.
Pub and brewery news
- The Compton Cross, Soho has been acquired by Shepherd Neame from Marmalade Pub Company. After a brief closure it is due to reopen on Monday 15th April. A refurbishment is planned for July.
- The Cheshire Cheese, Little Essex Street also recently acquired by Shepherd Neame (as previously reported) is due to reopen during April following a refurbishment.
- The former Eel Brook, Wandsworth Bridge Road has reopened as the Brook House.
- The Devereux near the east end of the Strand, is reported to be reopening at some point in 2019 after a refurb.
- The former Yardbird, W6 is planned to reopen in May as a Craft Beer Co pub.
- The Audley is closed for a long-term from 15th April.
- The Richmond Arms, NW8 has reopened as the Three Falcons. Real ale has been reinstated (Fuller's London Pride).
